Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You tell the producer nothing and try to do the work and learn on the fly.

You decide to learn medical terminology on the fly. You begin working on the closed captioning. At first everything goes well, and you pick up some of the vocabulary as you work.

About halfway through the program, the doctor begins a medical procedure and describes it as he works. He uses many technical terms in succession and you can't keep up!

Your producer looks at what you have written and is upset by the poor quality. She tells you to leave and study up on the terminology. She isn't pleased but will give you one more chance.

"It's hard to write a word correctly or choose a suitable alternative if you have no idea what the word is or have no clue as to its meaning," says Darrenougue.
