Real-Life Decision Making

As a homeopathic practitioner, you must know how to deal compassionately with patients. They must know that you care before they put their health in your hands.

Late last week, you had an appointment with a woman, Sandy Rewando. For the past six months, she has been suffering from severe abdominal cramping. You also note that this is her introduction to homeopathic remedies.

She has undergone a series of tests, all of which have come up clear. With the hope of relieving some of her pain, her doctor prescribed her a very low dose of anti-inflammatory medication. So far, it hasn't been working. Although still skeptical, she's in a lot of pain. What can you do to help her?

You tell her that homeopathic remedies use plants, minerals and animals in small doses in order to stimulate the patient's natural defenses. You also mention that treatment is customized to the particular individual. That means no two treatments are the same. She wants to think about it.

Well, it's now a week later and she's back. You describe to her the simple treatment that you have come up with. She still seems skeptical, and very hesitant.

What do you do?
