Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You decide to tell your client your diagnosis about her dog's ear mites.

You recommend getting some over-the-counter medication. She thanks you for your advice and says she'll do just that. A few weeks later, you get a call from this client. She tells you her dog's ear mite problem turned into a bad ear infection because you didn't tell her the right way to apply the ear mite medication.

Had the client gone to her veterinarian, she would have had this information explained to her and she would have been told what signs to watch out for in the dog's health.

"It is important to refer all animals with any health problems to a vet," says Moran.
