Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You go with the colors chosen by the client.

This is the real-life decision that animator Caroline Paul would have made in this situation. "Lots of times you are given the freedom to choose what will look best," says Paul. "But sometimes colors are specifically requested. You can talk about it, but you shouldn't just go ahead without discussion."

In this situation, you could color the sequence as requested by the client, and if you have time, do a small sample of your color choice. If the boss wants, he can discuss these changes with the client.

Normally, colors and specifications are discussed in detail with the client. "You give them guidelines of what will look best," says Paul.
