Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You meet with clients, do the billing and then take care of the filing.

This is the real-life decision that mediator Mark Portman would make. "If I did not give realistic time estimates to my clients, meet my deadlines and estimate the cost for my services accurately, I would most likely lose customers."

You have chosen to put your client first. You still have to work on the billing and filing, but these do not involve your client. They can be done at a later time.

The number one priority is to make sure your client is heard.

The second priority would be the billing. You have to make sure you have charged your customers accurately.

The third priority would then be the filing. The risk here is that you may not find the time to complete these duties, and that they will pile up. However, to make future clients comfortable, you have to maintain a professional-looking office.
