Real-Life Communication -- Solution

While a good press release is important, it takes more than that to make it as a fashion designer. It comes down to ideas.

Here's a sample press release of your collection:

Radical Rags announces its spring and summer collection, which promises something for everyone -- as long as you like looking good.

The Radical Rags line features a print shirt that will take you back to disco fever and 1976. The bright colors and big collars will tell everyone that you are stayin' alive, but in a very now way.

For those times when you just don't know what to wear, we have the perfect LBD. Our little black dress (LBD) blends elegance with simplicity so well you can wear it to the symphony or to a rock concert. Every woman needs one of these dresses.

For guys who want to be noticed, we have a suit jacket that will make a statement when they enter a room. This jacket is powerful, but never drowns out the man wearing it.

Finally, in the "what have you done to improve the world, lately" category, we offer the strapless pocketbook. This pocketbook clips on to a belt, allowing for carefree carrying of all your goodies.

In short, Radical Rags has all the bases covered. This line is a home run!

Katherine Cleaver, a professor of fashion, says, "So much of fashion is about marketing and selling and promotion that communication skills are paramount. The actual designers may not have great communication skills, but they hire someone else to do that.

"On the other hand, loads of our grads go into the promotion, sales or visual design part of the industry [where] communication skills are a must."
