Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You try and calm the horse so that you can give him a massage.

After all, you are expected to be able to manage horses. You can't run for help every time a horse is acting up.

"With most horses, they just have an attitude problem, are in pain or are afraid. You can calm down these animals and use tricks to work with them without getting hurt yourself," says Amy Harrison.

"But there are a few horses that are so bad tempered that you need to have someone assist you, maybe hold the horse while you work," she says. "You have to be aware, and make quick decisions about whether a horse is going to kick or not, but you don't want to put yourself in a dangerous situation."
