Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You call your supervisor.

You hate to bother your supervisor on her off hours. Nevertheless, you page her. She answers promptly. You discuss the situation with her. She asks you a few questions about the pup and its situation. After some thought, the supervisor tell you her decision. She compliments you for calling to ask for guidance and tell you that you did the best thing.

"Staff members are supposed to contact me if they are not sure what to do," says Sheryl Barber. She does rehabilitation work. "If they make a decision on their own, and it turns out to be wrong, we look at it as a learning lesson for next time."
