Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You accept the donation.

You take the donation and create an exhibit with the man's family heirlooms. Your actions cause an uproar in the community. Many people feel the museum has sacrificed its principles by allowing someone to "buy their way" into an exhibit.

Several local organizations send letters stating they will not be making any more donations to the museum as a result of this incident.

This is not the decision that curator Lisa Paice would make. "It was a really tough decision to make. But if I accepted the donation, it would have seemed like the museum was up for grabs -- like we were displaying the history of anyone who could afford to make a big donation."
