Real-Life Communication

"I'm responsible for choosing which film footage becomes stock footage, as well as the regular responsibilities of archiving and retrieving film clips," says stock footage specialist Robert Albota.

Someone from the sales department of the stock footage company you work for comes to you at the beginning of the day with a list of a client's orders. One of the orders, which are from an advertising agency, simply says "happy" footage.

"Whoa," you say to the salesperson. "I can be creative, but I need a bit more to go on to get the right footage."

"Fine," says the salesperson. "Just give me a list of questions to ask the client and I'll get you your information."

Write up the list of questions you would give the salesperson in this situation. Think about what you would have to know in order to find footage that will say "happy" for the client's commercial.
