Real-Life Communication -- Solution

You could say something like this:

"You know, that's a great shot. I really like the full circular pan of the house before you move in on the doorway. But you know, I'm just not comfortable with a single exit. We really should put in a second one, around the back maybe. The thing is, I'd hate to throw away that circular shot, I think it's really important.

"Maybe we could put in a second doorway, camouflage it a little and just start your pan from farther away so it won't be so visible on screen. Once you pan around the corner, you can go closer in. I don't know, what do you think?"

Remember, be diplomatic.

Shawn Crowder is a stunt performer with an impressive list of TV and film credits: Boogie Nights, Batman and Robin, and Married With Children, to name only a few.

Crowder says communication skills are crucial in the stunt business. "You've got to know exactly what the director's wanting or talking about. And you've got to communicate with everybody [about] what's going to go on for safety reasons," says Crowder.
