Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You change the scene in the name of safety.

This was the real-life decision made by stuntwoman Gidget Churchill. Churchill talked it over with the stunt coordinator, the director and the other stunt person. They decided a change wouldn't be that damaging to the story or the director's vision and it would be much safer.

"It was such a small landing area that we thought there were several things that could go wrong," says Churchill. "Safety is always the number one priority." They did the jumps separately.

Churchill points out that these decisions are a result of teamwork. "The director tells you what they want, the stunt coordinator tells the director what they can get, and then the coordinator and performers come up with the actual scene."

In the end, everyone was happy with the results. The movie was great.
