Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You admit Jones to the program.

In taking Jones over Kelp, you have violated a code of conduct. You, a representative in an educational institution, have given money the nod over academics. Academically speaking, Kelp was the clear choice.

Although you don't want to admit it, Jones got into the program because of his dad's influence at the bank.

After only three months in the program, Jones drops out.

"In many ways, the registrar's office is the first and, perhaps, most vital public relations agent of a university," says university registrar Larry Murdock.

"Probably no other area of the university touches as many individuals. Because of this fact, we have to have a sound mind so as to make good, solid decisions. Anything less is just asking for trouble."
