Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You stay true to your original script.

This is the real-life decision made by Angela Brumett. She agreed that violence was not moral, but she disagreed with the troupe's interpretation and did not change the play. The troupe said it could not produce the play. The play has yet to be staged.

If a playwright stays true to themselves, they will eventually find an audience who respects their artistic expression. Once this is achieved, they will have established their career as a playwright with an accurate presentation of their own beliefs and concerns.

These rewards are worth waiting for. "I love the chance to create work for a live audience to enjoy. I love the chance to share ideas, and I love making people think," says playwright Mark Leiren-Young.
