Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You leave the issue and let the play run as it is.

After all, it is rather late to be making changes. When you were doing your initial research, it might have been a good time to make revisions. Now, you don't want to ruffle the director's feathers. You would like to get the contract to work on the next play with this theater company.

The play runs, and its gets a mixed review from the crowd. Some of the audience complain that the first part of the play was confusing.

Uh-oh. It sounds like it might have been better to reverse scenes one and two. "When you are working on a play that is about to open, you can't go about changing everything," says dramaturg Denis Johnston. "But if you really see something that will make the play much better, you should go about executing it."
