Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You remake the brace and have your company absorb the cost.

Jimmy's family will be thrilled with the new "free" brace. Even though they left out an important piece of information, your company will pay for it. You lose the $380 it costs to make the brace. As well, you have to assign an employee to build it, and that person could have been working on other things.

Although this is a good customer service move, it will not contribute to your company's bottom line.

As a result of this decision, the customer may try to take advantage of the company in the future by expecting them to cater to their needs each and every time.
