Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You vote to keep the golf courses.

Selling the golf courses to a national company isn't an option. What if that company decides to turn the golf courses' space into something not approved by council? Commercial space is commercial space. What if they decided to build a shopping complex?

As a golf player, you also consider your own pockets and don't approve of a price hike. You'd be willing to look at other ways the city could make money with golf courses. These include renting the reception area to theater troupes or wedding parties.

"I'd like to wait and see another year's financial statements before making this decision," says city administrator Gerald Berry. "I would not make a quick decision."
