Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution
You take your instructor's advice and combine different disciplines
during your audition.
You practice your dance intensively, making sure that you perfect each
move, since you feel a bit rusty with some of the jazz moves. Upon arriving
at the audition, you recognize the producer and he introduces you to the rest
of the judging panel.
You feel nervous, and you begin to stretch as they prepare the tape for
you in the audio room. When the music begins, you start to dance -- and what
a dance. In just five minutes, you manage to show your skills in jazz, contemporary
and tap dancing -- as well as ballet.
After you finish, the panel offers you the job before you can catch your
breath.
"Performing with a contemporary company requires not only a solid understanding
of technique, but also the ability to move between and combine different disciplines,"
says dancer Meaghen Buckley-Pearson.
