Jimmy Fudd and family are trying to make a border crossing. They are returning from a visit to Granny's. They seem like a good, law-abiding family.

However, they are trying to bring three dogs back with them. Apparently, Granny gave each of the three Fudd kids a little pooch as a Christmas present. Unfortunately, there are rules to follow:

  • One or more dogs accompanied by owner require certification for vaccination against rabies.
  • More than two dogs require an export certificate and an import permit in addition to the rabies certificate.

While Fudd is raising no objections to the regulations and is actually "quite willing to part with the dogs, at least until clearance is made," the kids are crying and confused.

You turn to the kids to explain to them what is happening and why their dogs cannot cross the border with them right now. You must make sure to talk to them in easy-to-understand terms.

"People skills are important to us," says immigration official John Newell. "We deal with people on a daily basis and do our very best to treat them with respect and courtesy."
