Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You take the shot.

Despite your concerns, you decide to film the child, feeling that this message is too powerful to ignore. This is the real-life decision made by Cristina Venegas while filming in Mexico.

While you're filming, the child hears you and asks who you are. You tell him you make films and you'd like to put him in your film.

To your surprise, the child seems pleased and you chat with him for a while. He tells you about his experiences and gives you a very honest and meaningful account of life in his village -- you've managed to include his voice and not just his powerful image.

"In the end, I spent enough time around the boy that I didn't feel uncomfortable about it. But this wasn't the case at first," says Venegas.
