Dear [Name]:
After
reviewing your manuscript, I am confident that I can complete your project
for a base price of $1,000.
It will take 20 hours to lay out the content
and design the back cover. Another five hours will be necessary for final
changes and proofing.
Please note that the figure I quoted above is
a base price. It may change, since I noticed several typos during my review
of the manuscript. I also noticed several punctuation mistakes and missing
spaces between sentences. I will correct these mistakes for free, but only
to a point.
The first 50 corrections are free. I will then charge an
extra dollar for each additional correction that is necessary. I consider
changing, adding or deleting a word, phrase or punctuation mark in one line
of text a correction.
I also need to reformat the text. There will
be no charge for this.
This quote does not include any work on the
front cover.
I can begin this project on Monday morning and complete
it by Thursday afternoon.
Please feel free to ask me any questions
that you may have. Thank you again for the chance to bid on this project.
