Transportation and Material Moving

Employment in transportation and material moving occupations is projected to grow 9 percent from 2020 to 2030, about as fast as the average for all occupations, and add about 1.1 million jobs. Material moving workers are expected to be needed to move materials in nearly all sectors of the economy. Additionally, the economy depends on truck drivers to transport freight and keep supply chains moving.

Installation, Maintenance, and Repair

Employment in installation, maintenance, and repair occupations is projected to grow 7 percent from 2020 to 2030, about as fast as the average for all occupations, and will result in about 392,500 new jobs.
