Real-Life Decision Making

You just got off the phone with officials at the town of Aldon. They need a new water treatment system. Because of a failing system, and water troubles in a neighboring town, they need a quick solution.

As it happens, you're a sales engineer for a company that manufactures water supply and treatment systems. You don't actually specialize in municipal water systems, but rather in the treatment of wastewater from large manufacturing and resource companies.

But you don't balk at the chance at making a quick and lucrative sale! After a visit to Aldon, you see that they do in fact need an extensive overhaul of their system, and they are willing to pay for the design and installation.

It seems like a no-brainer, and an excellent commission. There's just one minor hitch. Your company doesn't really supply the type of system they need. With some work, you could probably come up with a system, but it wouldn't be as cost-effective or efficient as a product from a company that specializes in this type of water treatment.
