Real-Life Decision Making

Sarah is a new salesperson at the carpet warehouse where you work. She has just filled out an order for an expensive carpet to be installed in a house on the other side of town.

She gives you the order, and you go to the back to measure the pieces needed to install the carpet. You notice on the order form that Sarah hasn't collected any advance payment for the carpet. This is highly unusual, but you don't question Sarah because she must have a reason for this omission.

You collect the carpet, drive out to the house and haul the carpet rolls into the home. "Could you leave the carpet and come back and install it in an hour?" the woman who owns the house asks. "My baby is sick and I don't want to wake him up."

You look around the room and see a pile of new furniture including two new TVs, a new couch and a chair. Is this woman trying to scam you, or is she just refurbishing her house?

What do you do?
