Education Level

Calibration technologists and technicians typically need an associate’s degree or other postsecondary training in a technical or scientific field. Some workers enter the occupation with a high school diploma and learn their skills on the job.

Extra Requirements

The National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) offers optional credentials through its technician certification programs. The Calibration Technician Certification is offered from the American Society for Quality.
