Not all tires are made the same. Your job as an automotive test engineer for a consumer magazine is to evaluate the differences. Readers are counting on you to help them choose the best tread for their bread.

There are 3 criteria you're going to use when comparing the tires. Each is weighted differently. The weighting is based on what the magazine thinks is most important to readers.

The 3 criteria are:

Braking: 50 percent
Handling: 30 percent
Ride comfort: 20 percent

You're evaluating 2 tires. You give each tire a score out of 5 for each criterion, with 5 being the best.

Tire A receives a 4 for braking, a 5 for handling and a 4 for ride comfort. Tire B receives a 3 for braking, a 5 for handling and a 5 for ride comfort.

What is the rating (out of 5) for each tire?
