There's no question that in this world of high finance you're going to need a significant amount of post-secondary education. The one thing experts agree on is that you should make sure your college or university has courses that are specifically geared to derivatives.

A bachelor of arts degree in finance or micro-economics could be all you need. You might also consider a master's in business administration. Certification as a chartered financial analyst will greatly improve your employment prospects. It's available through the Association for Investment Management and Research.
