Different industries will require different types of education for contracts coordinators. For example, Kathy Dunstan works as a contracts coordinator for a hospital. In her job, law school is a requirement. She also has a degree in business administration and says a background in science would also be useful.

Many other contracts coordinators in different industries have degrees in finance, commerce, business administration or public administration. Any experience in program or grants administration and contract work would also be helpful.
