A customer brings an old camera that is encrusted in rust into your repair shop. The lenses are also scratched.

"The camera was an anniversary present from my wife," he says. "It fell in the ocean a few months ago, and I've been meaning to bring it in and get it fixed. She is wondering what happened to it, so I was wondering if you could do a speedy job of fixing it up."

You take the camera and try to open the back panel. The screws are rusted shut. After some work, you pry open the case, and find all the parts jammed and rusted together. The top of the camera is dented where it must have fallen, and the lens is severely scratched.

The man watches hopefully as you look over the camera. "Well, how long will it take?" he demands.

This camera is in bad shape, and almost certainly beyond repair. You start to show him how the camera is badly damaged, but he doesn't want to listen. He raises his voice and shouts at you, "Just fix the camera. It's important to me!"
