Do biology, physics, chemistry and math intrigue you? If so, this is your field! Packaging engineers must excel in these areas.

Packaging engineers may have a degree specifically in packaging engineering, or they may have a degree in some other field of engineering. However, those in other fields can go through a certification program to specialize in packaging.

Also, if you choose this occupation, be prepared for continuing education. You must keep up with the constant changes in this challenging industry.
