Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You enter the enclosure and rearrange the dishes for the chimps.

This solution may work if the chimps are willing to listen to you and allow you to move the dishes.

But primate researcher Deborah Fouts warns that it isn't a good idea to enter their cages alone. "You have to think on your feet and really understand chimp behavior and movements," she says.

"You have to maintain your position," she adds. You must be polite and firm, but never get angry with chimpanzees. Working with chimpanzees is similar to getting along with humans. Polite behavior and respect go a long way in communicating ideas.
