Education Level

Education training and experience are required at different levels for success in different occupations.

High school (GED), plus on-the-job training

Orderlies typically have at least a high school diploma or equivalent and receive a short period of on-the-job training.

Extra Requirements

Orderlies do not need a license, however, many jobs require a basic life support (BLS) certification, which shows they are trained to provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
