Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You stay at home.

It was a heart-wrenching decision, but you decline the apprenticeship. You decide to stay on the East Coast and keep doing your own thing. If the artist thinks you're good enough to be his apprentice, you feel confident that your talents can help you succeed on your own.

You keep selling your own pieces and eventually make some money teaching weekend glass-blowing workshops. Sometimes you wonder what might have happened if you'd moved, but you take comfort in the support of your friends and family. You're happy doing what you love in a place that's familiar.

Glass blower Mike Glover never considered moving away from his family. But he did experience a lot of uncertainty when he decided to pursue glass blowing full time.

"It was hard starting out because I didn't know what to expect." Glover took the plunge because he felt it was important to do something he loved. Glover now works out of the basement of his home -- which keeps him close to his wife and six children.
