Additional Information

Most magicians are self-taught. Some enter into mentoring relationships with more established magicians who help develop their talent through instruction. And the number of magic schools is increasing. These are usually informal, short-term introductions into the world of tricks and sleights of hand.

Magician Aaron Jones says it would be difficult to market himself without at least a high school education. "You basically run the business yourself, but I think it would be hard to do it right and become successful without a proper high school education, and even some post-secondary education."

Jones is attending university to learn a second language. He hopes this will broaden his market.
