Not all the frustrations in a trucker's job are the result of bad drivers on the road. Sometimes customers want the impossible and it's up to you to figure out a way to get it to them.

You've driven all night and arrived at a store to deliver a load of groceries. You pull up to the store and don't see a place to put the truck. After talking to the manager, you realize he expects you to put your 60-foot-long truck in a space where cars usually go. Your truck might fit in the space, but it's doubtful.

You politely suggest you park in the parking lot, but the manager says he doesn't want you blocking his customer parking.

Write down what you could say to the manager to explain why you have to park in the lot. Be firm, get your point across, but don't lose your cool.
