Hang-Gliding Instructor

Money & Outlook

Insider Info

Bodhi Kroll owns a hang-gliding center. He says there are about 100 to 110 hang-gliding instructors in the U.S.

How's the job outlook? "Good if you really want it," says instructor Rob McKenzie. "Impossible if you don't."

Kroll says he pays his instructors better than most hang-gliding schools. "We pay $85 a flight and our instructors can do three to five flights a day."

Of course, weather, wind and season affect the number of days they work during the year.

Earnings and employment information from the U.S. Department of Labor is not available for this field at this time.
